Hyderabad city tour Itinerary
Day 01 Arrive Hyderabad
Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02 Hyderabad (City Tour)
After breakfast, enjoy the city tour of Hyderabad.
Golconda Fort:
The mighty Golconda fort, a majestic monument on the outskirts of Hyderabad city, speaks of a great cultural heritage of 400 years. The historical legend of Golconda Fort has it that before the city of Hyderabad was built, the whole Deccan was ruled from the Golconda Fort. Built by Muhammad Quli Qutub Shah in 1525, the magnificent Golconda Fort lies in western outskirts of Hyderabad, and is one of the best place to witness the bygone glory of cultural and historical richness of Hyderabad.
The whole of the Golconda Fort complex and its surrounding spreads across 11 km of total area, and discovering its every nooks is an arduous task. Visit to the fort comprise seeing the architectural beauty in many of the pavallions, gates, entrances and domes. Parted in four district forts, the architectural valour still gleams in each of its apartments, halls, temples, mosques, and even in its stables. The graceful gardens of the fort may seem to be lost its fragrance, for which it was known 400 years ago, yet a walk in the deceased garden has to be inevitable in your schedule to explore the impression of gone glory of Golconda Fort.
Charminar:
Built by Mohammad Quli Qutub Shah in 1591, Charminar was said to be the centre around which Hyderabad was once built. This majestic architectural monument is said to be built to commemorate the eradication of plague from Hyderabad.
Salar Jung Museum:
Salar Jung Museum has the largest one-man collection of antiques in the world, exhibiting over 35,000 objects of art such as Chinese Porcelain, Aurangazeb's Sword, Daggers belonging to Queen Noor Jehan, Emperor Jahangir and Shah Jahan, Sculpture, Indian paintings and Persian carpets. The most notable of these are the Veiled Rebecca, Bezzoni's translucent white marble statue, the Arms section, the Jade section and the Oriental Section.

Hussain Sagar Lake:
Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah constructed Hussain Sagar Lake in the midst of the city in 1562 in the honor of Hussain Shah Wali, who helped him to recover from illness. Forming a link between the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, it is also known as Tank Bund as it was once the cantonment area of Secunderabad.
IMPORTANT : The museum remains closed on Wednesday and on public holidays.
Day 03 Leave Hyderabad
Departure transfer to the airport to board flight for your onward destination. |
