Morning is free. Afternoon city tour visiting

Day 03: Mumbai /
Bhavnagar
After breakfast transfer to airport to board the flight to
Bhavnagar. On arrival transfer to the

Day 04: Bhavnagar/Palitana/Sasangir
Leave early morning for Palitana, Climb up the Shatrunjaya
mountain to reach the “City of
Gods”.
Here on this mountain is one of the holiest pilgrimage for
the Jains. There are atleast 3000 temples big & small
built in span of over 1000 years. Afternoon drive to
Sasangir & check-in at hotel
Sasan is the last refugee of the Asiatic Lions. If permission
granted (Park remains closed from July through
August/September) you would drive through the park
tomorrow.

Day 05: Sasan Gir
AM- Excursion to Verawal, its send on the out skirts of
Verawal,
Krishna
died after being but by an arrow by mistake. Also visit
the ancient famous temple of Somnath-this temple was
looted 7 times by Mohd. Ghori and every time he carried
back with him Caravan loads of Jewelry and cash.
PM- free or drive through the jungle.

Day 06: Sasan Gir/ Tarnetar
After breakfast leave for Tarnetar. En-route visit the fort
interesting city of
Junagarh.
In the fort visit the old rock cut caves of the Buddhists.
In the city visit Jama Masjid (The Mosque) and Cenatoph
(of the Royal Family) which are very good examples of the
Indo-sarasanic style (Indian Barrock) the house in the
city have very interesting decoration and one believes for
a moment that the city could be in Italy, the house have
the same type of decorations as in the Italy some 200
years back.
Its in Junagarh that one sees the rack inscriptions of Ashok
dating to the third century B.C.

Day 07: Tarnetar
Full day at the fair. Today evening you may see a number of
young men carrying the beautifully decorated umbrellas. It
would be very interesting to know why these young men
carry these umbrellas. Also watch the ladies envying the
handsome men. In the afternoon watch the dance

Day 08: Tarnetar/Wankaner
After breakfast drive to Wankaner. After a good and
leisurely bath, drive back to the place for lunch, where
one of the members of the family would join you and later
show you around. Before dinner go and see the family
museum housed in the old strong room of palace. You could
also go and visit the local tile making industry.

Day 09: Wankaner/ Ahmedabad
After breakfast drive to Ahmedabad via Lothal. In Lothal walk
around the excavated site dating back to 300 B.C. the
Harappan civilization, walk through the old city lanes,
and watch the Seaport with its warehouses etc.

Day 10: Ahmedabad
Full day sightseeing of Ahmedabad.
AM-visit the Calico museum (open 1000 hrs-1200 hrs and
1430 hrs – 1630 hrs) that has a rich collection of the
original cloth paintings “pad” and other antiques. No
visit to Ahemdabad is complete without the visit to this
beautiful museum housed in an equally unpressive and
historical building. Also visit the Jama Masjid,
Siddi Sayyadi Mosque, Rani Sipri's Mosque.
PM-Excursion to Adalaj (30 Kms) on the way back visit
the Sbarmati Ashram of Mahatma Gandhi.

Day 11: Ahmedabad/Mount Abu
Leave for
Mount
Abu. En-route visit Adalaj van which was also used as a
summer retreat, a two hours drive ahead lies one of the
architectural jewels of the Gujrat-the sun
temple
of Modhera.
The temple is the best example of the Solanki style of
architecture and was built in the 11-12th
Century AD. The landscape changes regularly as soon as one
enters Rajasthan the flat land gives way to the hilly
landscapes. The drive upto Mount Abu through the winding
roads.

Mount Abu
Full day sightseeing of
Mount
Abu. It was in Mount Abu that the “fire born” clans of the
Rajputs were born. Once a large configration of the Gods
gathered in Mount Abu

Day 13: Mount Abu/Udaipur
Leave early morning for
Udaipur,
en-route visit Ranakpur Jain temples built in the
15th century. Ranakpur is the large city of the
Jain temples also known as Cheromukh. Its built out of
white marble on the foothills of the Aravalis in a wooded
valley. The 1444 marble pillars support the gigantic
domes, which are beautifully decorated with sculptures and
geometric designs. Drive onto Udaipur, check-in the hotel.

Udaipur
After breakfast visit the
City
Palace
built on the bank of the Pichola Lake, by Maharana Udai
Singh in 1570. The
Jagdish
Temple
– (1651) a fine example of the Nagara style of temple
architecture. Sahelion ki Bari an ornamental
pleasure garden specially made for the ladies of the
palace in the 18th century. It has beautiful
fountains, trees and flowers. Lunch in the hotel. PM -
enjoy public boat ride on the Pichola Lake, visiting
Jagmandir & lake Palace hotelOvernight in the hotel
Shikarbadi.
Day 15: Udaipur/Delhi
Transfer to airport to connect flight for
Delhi. On
arrival check-in at the hotel Oberoi Maidens
Day 16:
Delhi
After breakfast visit the Jama Masjid (Friday Mosque),
India’s largest mosque where more than 20,000 people can
kneel in prayer and Raj Ghat -Mahatma Gandhi’s
Memorial. In the afternoon visit
New
Delhi. You will drive past President’s Palace and India
Gate (42m high), built to commemorate the 70,000
Indian soldiers who died in the 1st world war.
Later visit Humayun's tomb,
and the Qutab Minar, the highest sands stone
minaret in the world ( 73 meters). Later in the evening
transfer to airport to board flight for onward journey.
