Delhi / Day 01

Arrive in Delhi and spend the night at a beautiful boutique hotel. Take the overnight train to Bikaner. Spend the morning and the afternoon sightseeing on a guided tour of New Delhi. After an early dinner we will depart for the train station where we will board the overnight train to Bikaner.

Bikaner / Day 03

Delhi / Day 01

Bikaner / Day 03
The Bikaner region's splendid palaces, beautiful and richly sculptured temples of red and yellow sand stones display some of the finest creations of Rajput civilization. Transfer via coach from Bikaner Station to Bikaner Heritage Hotel for an introductory breakfast to the 15-day program. After lunch and light refreshments in the late afternoon we'll gather around to meet the horses for a casual ride through the breathtaking landscape of the Bikaner's sand dunes.
Deshnok / Day 04 - 05
Ride through marvelous sand dunes to our first camp in Deshnok. There is a good possibility of sighting herds of camels, the area is known to have them. Be on the lookout for the gamboling baby-camels, which make a very enchanting sight. Overnight in tented camp on outskirts of Deshnok. Morning visit to a school in Deshnok. After lunch, ride into the desert through fantastic dunes to visit Rajasthan's famed Karni Mata Temple (often known as the Rat Temple). Overnight in the dunes, in our tented camp in Deshnok.
Mukam / Day 06 - 07
Ride from Deshnok to Mukam. Riding through this dune filled area we may see several Chinkara gazelles and if we're lucky, also come across the Desert Fox. This beautiful region is home to the Bishnoi tribe, who are known as conservationists as the preservation of animal and vegetable life. Overnight in tented camp Mukam. We will ride to the local school in Mukam in the morning, followed by a visit to Samrathal Dhora, a Bishnoi pilgrimage temple. Overnight in tented camp on outskirts of Mukam.
Kakku / Day 08
Ride from Mukam to Kakku. The terrain here is soft and sandy and good for easy riding. As we approach Kakku, there will likely be Blue Bulls grazing in this area. There's also the opportunity to climb up on a very large sand dune with a temple on top of it and from where you get a breathtaking view of the desert. Overnight in tented camp on the outskirts of Kakku.
Bhundel / Day 09 - 10
Enjoy a vibrant and colorful ride from Kakku to Bhundel. We will travel through an area of large sand dunes. These dunes heat up very quickly, making for an early departure. For lunch we will seek refuge under a cluster of desert trees to have lunch and rest. Overnight in tented camp on the outskirts of Bhundel. We plan to ride into Bhundel and visit a school. After lunch we will return to the village. Prepare yourself for fun and games in our famed "Ball & Bucket" races. From the start of the ride, you will be drawn into the fun, humor and competition that this day brings out. This dynamic afternoon is highly attended by the local community and provides a wonderful opportunity to leisurely interact with them. Overnight in tented camp on the outskirts of Bhundel.
Khimsar / Day 11
Enjoy a breath-taking ride through vibrant terrain from Bhundel to Khimsar Fort. We'll stay overnight at Khimsar Fort nestled on the edge of the great Thar Desert. Initial construction of this Fort began in 1523. The royal family occupied it during the 18th century when a new 'Zenana' (Ladies Wing) was constructed. Thakur Onkar Singh built a regal wing for himself in 1940s. Its battle-scarred walls and turrets provide evidence of its glorious past, and today this fort ranks amongst the premier of classified Heritage Hotels of India. Overnight at Khimsar Fort.
Jaipur / Day 12
Early departure Khimsar to Jaipur via AC coach 5-6 hours drive. Enjoy the late afternoon at your leisure relaxing at the hotel pool. Overnight at a hotel in Jaipur.
Delhi / Day 13
Check out by 12.00. Post lunch departure by coach to Delhi/transfer to airports for return flights.
