Entry to the Taj Mahal will be a slightly costlier deal starting from December 10. The government has sent out a notification saying that all categories of visitors will be charged an additional amount of Rs 200 if they wish to enter the main mausoleum.
The mausoleum which is housed in the basement of the tomb houses artistic replicas of the original graves of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal, and is a great tourist attraction.
