The government of Nepal recently decided to remove mandatory RT-PCR test for the fully vaccinated International travelers. The currently applicable entry protocol for Nepal is as follows:

  • Fully vaccinated International travelers arriving in Nepal by air or land need to present their vaccination card (In English).
  • Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated international travellers need to produce Covid-19 Negative (-VE) RT-PCR test result, obtained 72 hours prior to boarding.
  • All International travellers will have to fill in the travelers form issued by the Covid-19 Crisis Management Coordination Centre (CCMCC) at the point of entry.
  • To the travelers departing from Nepal to other destination country; Airlines have to inform their respective passengers about the current travel protocols of the destination country. The health related documents to be submitted by the passengers departing from Nepal will be as per the health related criteria of the destination country as prescribed by the concerned airlines. (We shall assist with reconfirmation locally about the requirement of PCR test for departing travellers with their respective airlines).

IMP: Travellers will be considered fully vaccinated if they have the prescribed doses of the vaccine, 14 days prior to arrival into Nepal.
