Kathmandu / Day 01
Flying into Kathmandu is an unforgettable experience with the Himalayas spread out before you. You will be met at the airport on arrival and transferred to your hotel. After breakfast sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley is on the cards. The Pashupatinath temple area is teeming with hundreds of ancient lingam, shrines, icons and statues of different Hindu God and Goddesses. The main temple of Pashupatinath is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is said to over 2000 years old. Boudhanath stupa is one of the oldest and biggest Buddhist monuments of Nepal. It is surrounded by many private colorful houses and Buddhist monasteries, Patan is one of the major cities of Nepal, which is located in the south western part of Kathmandu valley. Patan is famous for its Hindu temples and Buddhist shrines, traditional art and crafts, old palace and the Newari culture. There are more then 1200 temples and shrines in and around the city. Patan Durbar Square (a complex of temples and palace which is UNESCO world heritage site) and Hiranyavarna Maha Vihar (famous as Golden temple) are the major attractions of Patan.
Sundarijal – Chisapani / Day 03
After breakfast at the hotel, we take drive 15 kms north- east from Kathmandu to Sundarijal. En route we stop by Budhanilkantha or the temple of the ‘Reclining Vishnu’ that lies at the bottom of the Shivpuri Hill. The temple has a fifth century stone sculpture of Lord Vishnu, reclining amidst coiled serpents in the middle of a pond. We continue driving uphill through a dense forest of oak, pine and rhododendron till we reach the Sundarijal. From here, we walk to the village of Chisapani or cold water. During the trek you get panoramic views of the surrounding hills and undulating Himalayan ranges like the Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal, Dorje Lhakpa and Annapurna.
Chisapani – Nagarkot / Day 04
After a hearty breakfast, we continue with our walking adventure. From Chisapani we walk downhill to Nagarkot. Nagarkot, at 2100m is a hill resort located 30km away from Kathmandu. From here we get breathtaking views of Mt. Everest, Manaslu and Gauri Shankar.
Dhulikhel / Day 05
After witnessing a magical sun rise from Nagarkot, we have our breakfast and get ready for the day’s walk. Today we hike to Dhulikhel. Dhulikhel is a small Newari village which has become quite popular as a resort town. The mountain views from the village are breathtaking. The streets lined with bare-brick houses, sloping tiled roofs, sacred statues, pagoda temples and carved wooden windows are the highpoints of Dhulikel.
Dhulikhel – Namobuddha – Panuti Village & Drive Back Kathmandu / Day 06
The supreme sacred place known as Namo Buddha is located in the mountains about 3 hours walk from Dhulikhel. It is one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites in Nepal and one of the holiest in the world. It is known as the place where the Buddha, in a previous life as a prince, gave his body to a starving tigress and her cubs. There is a very old temple in the village of Namo Buddha, located below Thrangu Rinpoche’s land, which sits on the top of the mountain. After visiting Namobuddha monastery we walk for another 3 hours to Panauti. Panauti is one of the oldest towns in Nepal.

After breakfast transfer to the airport and connecting flight for onward journey.
