In an indication to resume all tourism activities in Goa, the state government has announced the reopening of casinos with 50 per cent capacity. Fully vaccinated visitors and travellers with a negative Covid-19 RT-PCR test report will be allowed to visit casinos from 20th September 2021. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant reviewed the existing restrictions in the state and announced that Goa is ready and prepared to welcome tourists. “The Covid-19 positivity rate is below two per cent and it was decided that the state should start economic activities, especially those related with tourism. The Goa government has also written to the Union ministries of home affairs and external affairs to give special permission to allow International charter flights into the tourist state.
