Lemon Tree Premier, Mumbai International Airport has received the Gold Certification by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). The hotel design is based on IGBC standards which bring together a host of sustainable practices and solutions to reduce environmental impact of buildings. Lemon Tree uses green building design as an integrated approach while designing its hotels and it considers the life cycle impact of resources used.

“We are honoured and delighted to be the recipients of this prestigious award and it reinforces our focus on ESG. Our teams work with a deep commitment to ensure that the best ethical practices are adopted, and this recognition would go a long way to motivate us to remain steadfast in this effort. Our design approach looks at building hotels sustainably and is centred on reducing the carbon footprint of each hotel. This is our eighth hotel to receive the IGBC Gold Certification and our forward plan is to certify all our hotels as we have been building all our owned hotels to IGBCs Gold specifications since 2012,” said Patanjali G Keswani, Chairman & Managing Director, Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd.
