If all goes as per the plan, Mathura and Vrindavan will soon be connected via a cruise service. Referring to this, Union Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that Mathura and Vrindavan will be connected with a cruise service, for which waterways on the Yamuna will be developed.

The Minister stated that the experience of travelling via cruise will lure tourists visiting Agra to also visit Mathura.

The twin cities of Mathura and Vrindavan are famed for being the birthplace of Lord Krishna, and attract a large number of pilgrims and tourists every year. People who are keen to go on a spiritual sojourn, these twin cities are their go-to place. And since the places of interest are not that far from each other, one gets to explore most of the attractions in just a day.

With this new development, it is expected that these destinations will be able to attract more tourists in the near future.
