Kerala will begin responsible tourism classification for hotels and resorts by August 31 this year. The government has included this as one of the 100-day projects of the new government. Announcing the different projects and initiatives that will either be started or completed in the next 100 days, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the process of classification of hotels and resorts in the state under the Responsible Tourism Classification will begin by August 31, 2021.

Besides that, the government will also take up various projects under key heritage tourism circuits like Alappuzha Heritage Tourism, Muziris Heritage Tourism and Thalassery Heritage Tourism and try to complete them within the next 100 days.
