TOFTigers, an association of travel and tourism stakeholders working for the ecological and economic sustainability of the wildlands and wildlife across South Asia, has joined hands with Amsterdam-based Travelife, a leading training, management and certification initiative for tourism companies committed to reaching sustainability, to promote and drive the globally recognised ‘Travelife’ sustainability certification in India.

In order to announce the partnership, TOFTigers along with Travelife organised the first in a series of workshops that they plan to organise to sensitise the travel industry stakeholders about the need to join global advocacy and certification programmes for sustainability like Travelife in Delhi recently.

Addressing the workshop attendees, Robin Boustead, Travelife Coordinator for South Asia said that it is high time the tourism boards and the travel industry stakeholders in India recognise the change that is sweeping the travel world, especially after the pandemic, and learn to do business sustainably and responsibly. He said that leading OTAs of the world and travel companies have already started moving on the path of sustainability and want their partners to also embrace those changes and do business in a sustainable and responsible way.
